Bronze (Copper) Gong 0
The first seven bronze gongs introduced two years ago are the result of a journey of discovery through the sonic world of Bronze. Paiste developed entirely new types either adapting them to the familiar traditional Paiste gongs or using them asa starting point for further development. A variety of shapes and structures arise through new designs: edge and surface configurations, various hammering techniques, visual design through burning and polishing . In fact the entire range is reflective of the ultimate of gong mastership in breaking boundaries and traditions. Through continuous action and reaction the gong and the player develop a gentle and unique relationship.
Each gong is numbered. This is 0.
Adapted from the ‘Earth’ Sound Creation it has a uniform dark surface, distinct rim with prominent reinforcement strokes throughout the surface area to produce deep, powerful and mysterious sound that builds and cleanses.
